ice skating today!
apart from the blue blacks that i have from falling down, i think overall ice skating was a rather interesting experience.

initially when i first got onto the ice it was slippery! i didnt dare to go out and skate with the crowd of ppl who already on the ice. after about 2 hours, i still couldnt skate properly! it was super saddening!

slowly however, i began to pick up pace& i could skate better than when i first tried! however, i still kept falling. and when i got better, i fell even more. i dont know why, but everytime i seemed to be improving and tried to skate faster, i kept falling! all my gloves became icy cold &wet even after ppl switched gloves with me! let me reveal honest feelings to you.. haha. i was super, super discouraged. imagine having to try your best, but still keep falling. it was super,super discouraging.

after some time i felt so hopeless and suddenly jasmine said this very interesting thing
" shi bai shi _ _ de cheng gong'
i forgot whats the two other words in the idiom, but it means failure is a key to success.
a while later, i gave up. i was so scared to fall again, and its like everytime i got out of the rink and went back in again, i forgot how to ice skate. Eventually however, i decided to try again.

Come to think of it,i was rather discouraged at that point of time. Had i totally given up on trying to learn how to skate however, i think it wouldnt have even been able to move on the ice.

Thankfully i had cg members who were super patient to teach me!

according to yingjie, i pinched and pulled her shirt when i was falling. HAHA.

Nevertheless, i learnt an impt lessons from ice skating.

Perseverance.
Its not easy to pick up yourself again after many failures, but if you choose not to give up, you can surely do it! (: Come to think of it, i dont like having failures in my life and sometimes im a kind of person who shuts the door to failures.but ice skating really taught me that failures are important in order for success to come! how else are you gonna learn from your mistakes without failures? pick up yourself from where you left off and ask God to help you get moving! (: lets not be controlled by our emotions yeah?
